The Ganganagar unit of CPIML organized a march and burnt the effigy of the Bihar Chief Minister to protest on the issues of compensation for crop loss due to the floods, rescue and relief operations in Belsandi and other Tolas impacted by the breaking of the Bindtoli dam in Kadwa, employment under MNREGA and unemployment allowance during Corona pandemic times.

CPIML Block Committee member Pramod Kumar, speaking at the protest, demanded that farmers who have suffered crop loss due to the floods must be given proper compensation. The Bindtoli dam in Panchayat Kadwa has broken, inundating Belsandi Tola; people’s homes are flooded but the administration has so far not taken any steps for rescue and relief work.

Villagers in large numbers participated in the protest including CPIML Branch Secretary Vishnu Dev Kumar, Rajendra Pandit, Vakil Mandal, Virendra Mandal, Devendra Mandal, Shankar Rai, Vishnu Dev Mandal, Pankaj Rai and Sudhir Ram.
