kranti

August Kranti Diwas (9 August 1942) was remembered and observed as ‘Save the Country’ day across India. Remembering the martyrs and freedom fighters on this occasion, a pledge was taken to continue the struggle against the Modi government’s anti-labor policies. In Uttarakhand, the participating organizations included AICCTU, KRALOS, Bima Karmachari Sangh, Uttarakhand ASHA Health Workers Union, Sansera Shramik Sangathan SIDCUL, Pragatisheel Mahila Ekta Kendra and PACHHAS. They in a joint statement said that workers are being given no security in the face of corporate profiteering in these Corona times. In response to the ‘Sell the Country’ campaign by the Modi government, workers’ and peasants’ answer is the ‘Save the Country’ campaign.
