Candidates in the 69000 Teachers Recruitment Exam protested at various Districts on 20 July with posters and placards for cancellation of the exam and arrest of accused persons Mayavati Dubey and Chandrama Yadav.

Convener of Nyay Morcha in Uttar Pradesh Sunil Maurya said that the STF had arrested some members of the paper-leak gang on the very day of the exam and claimed that the exam had been conducted in a transparent and satisfactory way. If a proper probe had been conducted at that time, all the corrupt persons in this scam would have been in jail today. Sunil Maurya charged the government with failure and negligence and said the blame for failing to arrest the implicated persons Mayavati Dubey and Chandrama Yadav rests with the government. The government must answer why the STF has failed to nab these accused persons. The government claims to have established the rule of law but even after so many days the accused persons in this humongous scam have not been arrested. Nyay Morcha Joint Convener Uday Bhan Chaudhury, protesting with posters in Rae Bareli, said that we have not come out on the streets to protest because of Covid-19 but if the government does not complete the STF probe and arrest the accused persons without delay, students will be constrained to come out on the streets. He asked, has the government become so weak that it is unable to arrest the scam-accused?

Nyay Morcha Coordinating Committee members Shailesh Maurya (Mau), Dinesh Savita (Sonbhadra) and Ravindra Yadav (Ferozabad), along with Mahesh Kumar, Reena, Bunty Pandey and Prem Saroj, said that even before the exam was held the answers went viral; the government must cancel the exam and hold a fresh exam. They expressed anger that the STF probe has reached a stagnation point and demanded a CBI probe into the scam. Nyay Morcha called upon the youth of Uttar Pradesh to come together in this fight against corruption and strengthen the agitation.
