THE CPI(ML) organized a Jan Adhikar rally on 9 August 2018 at Salumber Tehsil, Udaipur District, Rajasthan. The common people of the area took part in the rally in large numbers. The rally started from Seling and traversed through the city, culminating at the Bus Station where it was addressed by leaders and activists. People participating in the rally expressed their anger against the BJP government and made their demands through posters, placards and slogans on issues such as loot in ration-kerosene, brokerage in welfare schemes, loot of natural resources, attacks on women, dalits, adivasis and minorities, implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations, loan waivers for farmers, and pattas for the poor settled on lands. The rally then marched to the SDM office where a meeting was held and addressed by Party leaders. State Committee member Comrade Saurabh said that the present government is the most corrupt the State has ever had the people would give a befitting reply in the coming Assembly elections. Central Committee member Comrade Sudha Chaudhury said that attacks on women, dalits, adivasis and minorities in the name of cow protection and religion have increased and the rapists and lynchers are enjoying the political protection of the government. District Secretary Com. Chandradev Ola said that the people of Rajasthan, especially rural Rajasthan, would not tolerate the patronage of goons by the BJP government and would hand them a resounding defeat in the coming elections. A memorandum addressed to the President was submitted to the Block Officer.
