ALL India Kisan Mahasabha (AIKM) has strongly condemned the repression let loose on peaceful protesting farmers at Gazipur border in Delhi. Modi government which protects and encourages mob lynchers and fascist goons, is not able to face peaceful farmers who are forced to commit suicides burdened with debt and without proper remuneration of their produce. The farmers have been demanding remunerative prices according to C-2 plus 50% formula, guarantee of procurement of produce at this price, payment of dues to sugarcane farmers, to withdraw hike in electricity tarrifs and other demands.

The marching farmers who started from Haridwar on 23 September reached Delhi's border and wanted to reach Kisan Ghat in Delhi on 2 October. They were prevented from reaching Kisan Ghat, and were subjected to brutal repression leading to hundreds of farmers being injured.

AIKM has also criticized the handful of farmers' leaders who chose to meet and sit across the table with Union Home Minister even as tear gas and lathis were being deployed against farmers on the streets of Delhi. AIKM has said that this government has no moral right to remain in power.

AIKM extended full support to the marching farmers on all their demands, and called upon farmers to build a nationwide movement with those demands.
