People’s Rights March in Bagodar


Hundreds of people held a protest march under the joint banners of CPIML and All India Kisan Mahasabha at Adwara Panchayat in Bagodar, Giridih (Jharkhand) on 25 October 2021 against the Modi government's anti-people policies. The march started at Dhavaia village and proceeded via Kendua Tand, Jamuari, Adwara and other villages to Kanitand where it culminated in a meeting. The march and meeting were attended by hundreds of women, men, students and youth who raised the slogans: fix wages, provide work or move out of power; revoke spiralling prices of petrol-diesel and essential foods; repeal the 3 anti-farmer laws; sack Home Minister of State Ajay Mishra responsible for massacre of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheeri; file murder case against Ashish Mishra and punish him; give farmers ownership rights over gair-majrua lands; curb inflation and rising prices; waive loans of women in Self Help Groups; stop selling national public assets.
