CPIML, AIPWA, AISA, RYA and Insaf Manch held a protest jointly on 29 April 2020 against the gang rape of a minor girl student by feudal-communal forces in Charphokhari block of Bhojpur district.

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal in a statement on 28 April had informed to the media of the heinous incident and said that the morale of these forces during the Lockdown is becoming higher and higher whilst CM Nitish Kumar watches silently and does nothing. Dalits and the poor are dying of starvation in the Lockdown and it is heartrending that to top it all they have to face such heinous incidents also. These criminals enjoy the protection of BJP-JDU.

A CPIML enquiry team led by Manoj Manzil met the family of the victim and got all the information from them. They assured the family of full support from the CPIML and the fight for justice. The incident took place on 25 April but due to pressure from feudal-communal forces no case was registered till 28th. There had been no medical examination of the victim either. The enquiry team met the District SP and demanded immediate registration of a case and medical examination of the survivor. After that the medical examination was done, and the Bhojpur SP gave an assurance of speedy trial.

The CPIML has made the following demands: immediate arrest of all the rapists; speedy trial in the case; guarantee of safety for the victim and her family. The Party has also said that if the rapists are not immediately arrested and the victim does not receive justice, District level as well as State-wide protests will be organized.
