26th Anniversary of Laxmanpur Bathe Massacre

A Sankalp Sabha was organised at the Laxmanpur Bathe Massacre martyrs memorial in Arwal on December 1, 2023 paying revolutionary homage to the martyrs. The meeting began with 2 minutes’ silence and floral tribute to the martyrs.

CPIML Arwal District Secretary and MLA Mahanand  Singh said at the Bathe massacre victims’ memorial 26 years have passed when on December 1, 1997,  58 people, including one child, were massacred by the Ranveer Sena and even today we are awaiting justice. Those killed were the poor, the oppressed, and Dalits. Ranveer Sena members of yesterday stand in the ranks of RSS-BJP leaders today. The BJP has hijacked all institutions including even the judiciary. He said that the need of the hour is to unite, raise our voice, and fight for the Constitutional rights of the poor and the oppressed.

The people must organize and unite to defeat this anti-farmer and anti-poor government.
